One of the leading energy providers in the world, GDF SUEZ is active across the entire energy value chain, in electricity and natural gas, upstream and downstream. With power stations in ten European countries we are one of the market leaders when it comes to generating electricity. Our power stations have an installed capacity of over 31 000 MW. By 2012 we intend to increase our capacity to 40 000 MW. To achieve this aim we are setting up new sites across Europe, with Greece playing a particularly important role for us. Consequently, we have established our new subsidiary Electrabel Energeia Hellas; the company is active in electricity trading and in the development of generation projects.
